With a PhD in Management of Innovation in Agricultural and Food Systems and MScs in Data Science and Mediterranean Organic Agriculture, he bridges the gap between traditional agribusiness and advanced technology. Dr Solomon specialises in EU organic scheme management, facilitating market entry for international producers. His leadership extends to leveraging AI for social impact and mentoring in agritech. At Addey, his vision drives the delivery of healthy, environmentally friendly food products through innovation and ethical leadership.

He holds a PhD in Economics and an MBA in Human Resource Management, bringing a wealth of cross-border academic and professional experience to the leadership team. Kesete Goitom TEWELDE

Kesete Goitom Tewelde is a PhD candidate at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, specializing in animal nutrition and nutritional physiology. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Hamelmalo Agricultural College (HAC), Eritrea, where he also served as a lecturer, research coordinator, and poultry farm manager. With over a decade of experience in animal production, poultry science, and animal nutrition, Kesete has coordinated senior research projects, applied statistical analyses, and given training in biogas production and dairy processing. He has contributed to regional agricultural projects, including sheep breed characterisation and fodder seed system analysis in East and Central Africa. Kesete also lectured and served as head of the animal sciences department at Hagaz Agro-technical School. One of the key researchers at Addey Enterprises, he volunteers as research and innovation manager. His early life on a mixed farm inspired his dedication to sustainable and organic animal husbandry.

Mr Solomon Mengsteab Petros is a Social Researcher holding an M.Phil. in Social Studies from the Makerere Institute of Social Research (MISR), with a major in Political Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Asmara. He began his career as a high school teacher before working as a Research Assistant at the Research and Documentation Center (RDC), where he contributed to data collection, organization, and analysis. At RDC, Mr Solomon also worked as a writer, editor, and coordinator on a curriculum and textbook development project. He further gained editorial experience with Hidri Publishers and wrote semiweekly columns for Eritrea Profile. Mr Solomon is a member of the Addey Enterprises contributing to the Department of Sales, Marketing and PR, with special focus on Social Responsibility and Communications.

Engineer Teferi Mehari Tsegaye, born on August 19, 1969, is a distinguished Chartered Civil Engineer with an extensive structural design and project management background. Holding dual citizenship in Hungary and Eritrea, he has made significant contributions to the engineering field in both countries. Teferi completed his education at the prestigious Budapest University of Technology in 1998 and is a respected member of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers. His proficiency in Hungarian and English has enabled him to work effectively in diverse teams and environments. Since 2004, Teferi has held prominent roles as a lead designer and senior structural engineer. He has managed a team of designers and spearheaded numerous structural design projects. His portfolio includes remarkable projects such as the Sárvár Thermal and Adventure Baths, the Esztergom Prímás Island Spa Hotel, the Győri ETO Leisure Centre, and the Gönyű Power Plant. In addition, Teferi has successfully managed substantial urban development projects, including the Újbuda City Centre and many residential buildings in Budapest. His expertise spans the design of monolithic reinforced concrete, steel, and wood structures. Mr. Yemane W. Hailemichael is the Founder and Chair of the Supervisory Board at Addey Agricultural and Food Cooperative. A visionary leader with roots in the Eritrean independence struggle, he later served the Ministry of Agriculture, where he developed a profound understanding of food security and crop improvement challenges. Following a successful career in entrepreneurship, Mr. Hailemichael transformed a period of significant health challenges, fighting blood cancer, into a catalyst for agricultural innovation. While in Europe, he identified the potential for introducing indigenous Eritrean crops to international markets. In 2020, he launched a pilot project researching the adaptability of Teff and Chilli seeds, collaborating with research institutions in Hungary and Italy. As a community outreach expert, he spearheaded the collaboration between postgraduate researchers and farmers that grew into the Addey social enterprise. Dr. Iyassu Ghebertatios Fesha is a distinguished agricultural scientist and senior research leader with more than four decades of experience in soil science, agronomy, agricultural policy, and institutional development. He holds a PhD in Soil Quality and Soil Fertility from Auburn University and has dedicated his career to advancing sustainable agriculture and strengthening agricultural research systems across Eritrea and the wider Eastern and Central African region. Dr. Iyassu served as Director General of the National Agricultural Research Institute from 2005 to 2017, where he led national research initiatives focused on soil fertility, crop productivity, and sustainable land management. He also served on the Board of Directors of Association for Strengthening Agricultural Research in Eastern and Central Africa (ASARECA), contributing to regional agricultural research policy and collaboration among member states. Recognized for his strategic leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to agricultural transformation, Dr. Iyassu continues to provide high-level advisory support on research, policy, and institutional development as a Senior Research Advisor at Addey Enterprise.

Eng. Sium YOHANNES
A Founding Advisor / Advisory Board Member
Sium Yohannes is a Swedish Eritrean, born and brought up in Eritrea. Sium completed his primary school in Betghiorghis, Asmara and secondary school in Asmara Technical School. Sium left his homeland, Eritrea, in his late teens to join Vienna Technical University (Department of Civil Engineering) in 1984. While in Vienna, Sium became an active member of the Eritrean Student Association as a result of the Ethiopian embassy confiscating his passport for sympathising with the Eritrean armed struggle. This issue led Sium to interrupt his education at Vienna Technical University and seek political asylum in Sweden in 1987. Sium joined the Swedish Technical University after two years of interruption and earned his BSc degree in Civil Engineering in 1993 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Bridge and Railway Engineering in 1994. At this stage, Sium moved on to join Modulent House Ltd (an engineering firm), producing complete prefabricated building panels for multi-story and detached houses, as a structural engineer. After acquiring key engineering skills for two years in Modulent house, Sium moved to London for further studies and to pursue his ambition of working for international engineering companies on international projects. Finally, Sium earned his MSc degree in Geotechnical Engineering in the UK in 1997 and joined Halcrow multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm in London in 1997 and moved to the international branch of the organisation soon after joining the company. Sium has been working in Europe, Africa and GCC countries as a design manager, project manager, project director and Chief engineering director in delivering national mega infrastructures, such as Roads, Railways, Airports, Ports, Commercial and residential development projects for the last 26 years. Currently, Sium has been working for the Jacobs Engineering firm as a Technical Director for the last 17 years, but has been seconded to the High Speed 2 mega project in the UK since 2020. Sium is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institute of Civil Engineering, Professional member of the Swedish Society of Civil and Structural Engineers and Professional Project Manager and member of the project management institution – PMI Credentials Sium enjoys reading publications and keeping up with current global affairs and through his involvement with various memberships of Eritrean community organisations, tries to support and share life and professional experiences as and when required. The desire to contribute to the betterment of Eritrea and the Eritrean community is at the centre of his mission, and this is the primary and sole reason for joining as one of the founding members of the Addey Agro-Industry, with no intention of any financial benefits.

They support coordination, outreach, partnership development, market engagement, and implementation of projects across different regions. Eng. Teferi Mehari Tsegaye is Co-Founder of Addey Enterprises, Member of the Supervisory Board, Chief Operations Officer, and Country Manager in Hungary. A Chartered Civil Engineer with dual Hungarian–Eritrean citizenship, he holds a degree from Budapest University of Technology and is a member of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers. With over two decades of experience, he has led major structural design and urban development projects across Hungary, including thermal spas, power plants, and city centers. His expertise spans reinforced concrete, steel, and timber structures. Teferi brings strong technical leadership and operational excellence to advancing Addey’s mission.

Feven Y. Hadgu is Co-Founder of Addey Enterprises and Country Director in Italy. With over 20 years of life and professional experience in Rome, she has built a strong career in tourism, including tour guiding and guesthouse management. Born in Asmara, Eritrea, she developed early entrepreneurial skills and a strong work ethic. Feven played a key role in Addey’s initial pilot farming trials in Italy, contributing to its agribusiness foundation. She is also actively engaged in community support initiatives for vulnerable Eritrean groups. Her blend of operational experience, cultural engagement, and grassroots leadership strengthens Addey’s international presence.
